Relativistic moduli space for kink collisions

چکیده
The moduli space approximation to kink dynamics permits a relativistic generalization if the Derrick scaling parameter is used as collective coordinate. We develop perturbative approach resulting by expanding about unity and treating higher-order modes new degrees of freedom. This allows us resolve (coordinate) singularities order-by-order, systematically incorporates corrections {\it perturbatively} in scattering. It gives an excellent description kink-antikink collisions $\phi^4$ field theory already at first order, higher reproduces fractal structure formation final state with error only $4\%$.

متن کاملRelativistic hydrodynamics for heavy-ion collisions
Relativistic hydrodynamics is essential to our current understanding of nucleus-nucleus collisions at ultrarelativistic energies (current experiments at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, forthcoming experiments at the CERN Large Hadron Collider). This is an introduction to relativistic hydrodynamics for graduate students. It includes a detailed derivation of the equations, and a description ...
متن کاملMultiphase transport model for relativistic nuclear collisions
To study heavy ion collisions at energies available from the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider ~RHIC!, we have developed a multiphase transport model that includes both initial partonic and final hadronic interactions. Specifically, the Zhang’s parton cascade ~ZPC! model, which uses as input the parton distribution from the heavy ion jet interaction generator ~HIJING! model, is extended to includ...
متن کاملCurrent-Driven Kink Instability in Magnetically Dominated Rotating Relativistic Jet
We have investigated the influence of jet rotation and differential motion on the linear and nonlinear development of the current-driven (CD) kink instability of force-free helical magnetic equilibria via threedimensional relativistic magnetohydrodynamic simulations. In this study, we follow the temporal development within a periodic computational box. Displacement of the initial helical magnet...
